As a father, business owner, CHRO, and gym rat I know first hand how hard it can be to fit it all in. I’d like to believe that I need less sleep than the “average” person, but that’s just a bravado cocktail comprised of one part optimism and five parts foolishness.
You simply can’t escape biology. We all need to recharge and a healthy night’s sleep is critical to achieving optimal performance. Sure, you can sneak by on less for a day or two when deadlines loom, but it’s not an effective long-term strategy.
